Sandtorkai HafenCity, Hamburg
South of the historic Warehouse District, the first quarter of Hamburg’s HafenCity waterfront development has already been completed.
This area is gradually returning to residential use after 120 years as a port. The Sandtorkai quarter, with its five residential and three office buildings, marked the start of the HafenCity regeneration project. The impressive architecture of the individual buildings creates an overall sense of unity.

Our products and our expertise have been used in half of the eight buildings. Though the requirement for a large overhang over the dock was common to all the buildings, a unique solution was found for each building.
